**Boeing Defense, Space & Security's (BDS)** is seeking multiple **mid-level/senior Equipment and Tool Designer(s)** to join the Production Engineering Team in **Mesa, AZ** . Our Production Engineering team provides support throughout the Mesa site including: the AH-64 Apache Final Assembly, Production Flight Test areas, Manufacturing, Electrical, and Composite Centers of Excellence, and Depot, Repair, and Overhaul.
Equipment and Tool Designers are responsible for the procurement, maintenance and repair of new and existing production tools. They apply engineering principles to determine appropriate methods to repair and maintain tools for fabrication and assembly. Equipment and Tool Designers work closely with multiple engineering disciplines, operations and tool fabrication.
**Position Responsibilities:**
As the Mesa team is hiring for multiple positions, base responsibilities may include:
+ Investigates and develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
+ Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models, researches the application of robotics, automation and new technology to support the build plan.
+ Creates off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests and usage instructions for equipment and tooling.
+ Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
+ Develops and documents equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training.
+ Provides technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions.
+ Maintains hardware and software configuration. Assesses and makes recommendations for disposition of equipment and tooling.
+ Mentor others from multiple teams in resolving problems/implementing process improvements.
+ Interprets and implements engineering requirements into a production environment.
+ Must be able to occasionally lift at least 35 pounds.
+ Must be able access production environments; to include, aircraft, large milling machines, etc.
+ Overtime, weekend support and/or travel may be required to support Production priorities.

+ Experience with tool making / machining experience preferred with includes designing and fabricating tooling, jigs and fixtures (e.g. composites, plastics, master-plaster pattern maker, etc.).
+ Experience with dispositioning tooling non-conformances and procurement of tooling materials.
+ Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Contract Tool Management Application (CTMA), Common Automated Procurement Request System (CAPRs), Unigraphics (UG), and Teamcenter (PDM) systems is desired.
+ Experience with Boeing specifications and drawings.
+ Experience with reviewing and checking tool drawings.

As the Director of Product Management, you have a unique opportunity to act as an entrepreneur within Optum Insight, taking ownership of 0 to 1 Product ideas with a focus on AI- first applications, and driving the definition, requirements, and then delivery of new AIML healthcare products such as Real Time Settlement. You will be responsible for OR contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of a product which solves problems and delight customers using AI. Effector RF Products is responsible for designing RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters. This includes design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration. Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programs. Critical to this role is designing for challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments.
This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.
**What You Will Do**
+ Design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters
+ Design of circuit card assemblies (CCAs) with RF or mixed signals
+ Work in a lab to accomplish component characterization as well as module verification and integration
+ Test and handle sensitive RF Hardware
+ Schematic capture and RF routing
+ Partner with interdisciplinary teams - power, digital, mechanical, etc.
**Qualifications You Must Have**
+ Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of eight years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following:
+ RF design and fabrication
+ RF test and troubleshoot
+ Simulation of RF products
+ Experience with any of the following tools:
+ Mentor DX Designer or equivalent
+ High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) or equivalent
+ SystemVue/Genesys or equivalent
+ Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Mentorship or apprenticeship experience
+ Technical oversight responsibilities for less-senior engineers
+ Working across domains on complex projects
+ Architecting and requirements definition for complex RF products
+ Team lead experience on technical projects including experience w/ cost and schedule
+ EVMS or CAM experience
+ Ability to prepare documentation with minimal oversight
+ Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints. Includes yield and margin analysis
+ Technical background in the following areas:
+ Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning
+ Filter design and fabrication
+ Circuit card assembly design and fabrication
+ Testing or designing RF hybrid (chip and wire) technologies
+ High speed data converter test/characterization
+ High power RF design or test experience
+ Scripting experience (Matlab or Python)
+ Some front line leadership desirable

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
