**_Job Summary:_**
Reporting to the Head of Core Compliance Practices for Americas, you will lead various activities and tasks that are required for effective management of compliance risk within the bank. As part of this role, you will be responsible to ensure compliance organization timely completes all the required risk governance activities as required by the enterprise risk policies including Compliance Reporting, Compliance Risk Appetite, Key Risk Metrics, Committee Management, and other activities required by the enterprise programs and/or assigned by the Head Of Compliance Practices. This is an individual contributor role that will require understanding of enterprise compliance risk and bent of mind to understand impact of compliance risk across the organization. Role may have matrix reporting within the Compliance Practices organization.
**_Major Responsibilities:_**
+ Primarily an individual contributor would define framework, process, and procedures for establishment, management and administration of the assigned functional responsibilities.
+ Develop a robust and consistent program of defining, collecting, measuring and reporting on regulatory impacts pursuant to regulatory commitments.
+ Advanced ability to aggregate data from multiple sources and develop meaningful analytics, and reporting including graphs, presentations etc.
+ Leverage understanding of compliance spectrum to identify relevant metrics and work with users to introduce new reports and data visualization dashboards to be used as a measure of performance and compliance moving forward
+ May be required to lead other team members, managing and directing their work.
+ Responsible for overall quality and timely delivery.
+ Recommend and implement automation of the process.
+ Coordinate work effort across Americas entities and head office.
+ Ensure alignment and integration of programs with international standards.
**Compliance Reporting:**
+ Manage and own compliance reporting process and ensure timely delivery of reporting.
+ Ensure quality of the data, follow up with people across various entities, and prepare reports for review by Chief Compliance Officer.
+ The leader will use their expertise in reporting and Compliance to partner across the Risk and Compliance teams to ensure all information is timely and appropriately reported.
+ Identify, suggest and create data visualization dashboards to enhance reporting like graphs etc.
+ Ownership and accountability of all monthly and quarterly reporting across compliance.
**Compliance Risk Metrics**
+ The leader will use their expertise in reporting and Compliance to partners across the Risk and Compliance teams to identify needed metrics and provide ongoing analysis to management.
+ Responsible for creation of KRI and KPI’s across compliance and other organizations and maintaining the KRI inventory.
+ Advise executive management on emerging regulatory and compliance issues, which may add variables or impact to metrics and reporting.
+ Review compliance framework of the bank and based on industry best practices and knowledge recommend compliance risk and appetite metrics.
+ Devise governance and consistent standards for monitoring metrics and key reporting attributes, defining tolerance levels and ensuring that compliance events are brought to the attention of Division Heads across Compliance.
+ Conduct periodic review of thresholds and ensure they meet the risk profile of the bank.
+ Assist with development and review of KRI reports for accuracy and completeness
**Compliance Risk Appetite**
+ Lead and Manage Compliance Risk Appetite Data Analysis and Reporting
+ Act as subject matter expert for compliance Risk Appetitive and handle end to end process on Risk Appetite -related activities for compliance.
+ Development and ongoing enhancement / review of Compliance Risk Appetite Statements (RAS) and revised risk appetite metrics.
+ Coordinate with Risk Governance and business partners to address issues in business RAS development
+ Prepare and present Risk Appetite Forum presentations
+ Ensure risk appetite policies and procedures are maintained and updated. Perform annual updates to Compliance Risk Appetite Procedures Guides and policies.
+ Partner with leaders across the Compliance organization to design reports and data visualization dashboards reflecting Regulatory data and metrics across the Enterprise.
+ Provide recommendations on ways to improve the Compliance organization’s metrics program.
+ Responsible for Compliance Risk Appetite Program and defining the appetite statement.
+ Evaluate, identify, define and track risk appetite metrics. Perform annual review to ensure appropriateness of thresholds.
+ Conduct quarterly review and analysis to ensure bank is within Risk Appetite limits.
**Compliance Committee:**
+ Serve as secretary for the compliance risk management committee and responsible for its charter.
+ Manage committee meeting agendas, coordinate presenters, create committee package, organize meeting, take attendance and meeting minutes and manage end to end delivery.
+ Ensure all requirements of the charter and other enterprise process in respect of committee management are followed.
**Governance:**
+ Manage other governance activities like RCSA, RIM etc.
+ Other activities as assigned by compliance leaders and part of the compliance program management.
**_Qualifications:_**
+ 10+ years of experience in either Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management required.
+ Bachelor’s degree or other risk management/Audit certifications like CIA, CRMA, CRCM, CFSA a plus.
+ Prior experience with financial institutions or Big4 consulting firms within compliance or audit or risk is **required.**
+ Familiarity with compliance regulations impacting banks and working knowledge of a broad spectrum of financial products and services, and banking operations preferred.
+ Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with various levels of management excellent presentation, advocacy, analytical, project management and consulting skills.
+ Self-driven with ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities at one time and work independently.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and customer service mindset; the ability to work collaboratively with various business partners and stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across all organizational tiers. A strong customer service mindset is a must.
+ Ability to promote cooperation and good working relationships among team members.
+ Ability to convert complex business requirements into actionable and efficient solutions.
+ Ability to implement best practices that optimize program execution.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and prioritize deliverables, ability to be flexible and the ability to execute on multiple projects.
+ High level of attention to detail and documentation requirements.
+ Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and remediate process inefficiencies.
+ Good system acumen, able to learn systems relatively fast, with experience in implementing GRC tools. Prior experience with WDesk, Tableau, preferred.
+ Advance knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $119k-$164k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
