The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative **Staff** **Microelectronics** **Product Engineer** to support our Test and Assembly functions at our **Linthicum, MD** facility, the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL). Located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in Superconducting Electronics and SLCFET. Our devices enable numerous Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

**What You’ll get to Do:**

As a **Staff Microelectronics Product Engineer** , candidate will serve as the product engineering lead, generating & maintaining product backend (test & assembly) trip tickets, track/monitor program metrics (delivery & yield), resolve technical issues, and lead team efforts to drive cost and schedule improvements across a technology sector. Candidate will be working closely with program managers, functional engineering staff (product, test, assembly, design, process, quality), and operations, serving as the engineering POC for any product related technical and production issues.

**Basic Qualifications for Staff** **Microelectronics** **Product Engineer:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline with 12 years relevant industry experience; Master’s degree in STEM discipline with 10 years relevant industry experience; or PhD in STEM discipline with 7 years relevant industry experience.

+ Experience in leading cross functional technical teams to achieve short and long-term goals.

+ Demonstrate application of detailed data analytics techniques.

+ Ability to formulate, communicate and execute complex project plans and initiatives

+ Excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of leadership, shop floor employees, and support function employees

+ Ability to mentor multiple engineers.

+ Supporting technology development through detailed analysis.

+ Contributing to the technical community through publications and teaching events.

+ Capability and drive to expand functional capacity of teams and organizations.

+ US Citizenship required

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) with SCI clearance

**Preferred Qualifications for Staff** **Microelectronics** **Product Engineer:**

+ Direct experience in product engineering function in foundry and/or semiconductor company.

+ A strong technical background in solid state device physics, digital and RF circuit design and test, and device reliability & qualification.

+ Master's / Doctorate degree in engineering.

+ Currently holding a Top Secret (TS) with SCI clearance

**Salary Range:** $157,500 - $236,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
