Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is currently seeking a **Sr. Principal Program Cost & Schedule Control Analyst** to assist with all business activities associated with several rapidly growing programs. The selected candidate will join the **Combat Systems Operating Unit** to provide business management support. This position will be located onsite at **Plymouth, MN** .
**Responsibilities / Duties:**
+ Partners with Program Management to establish strategy, prioritize requirements, and achieve financial goals while ensuring the integrity of business processes.
+ Performs financial analyses and prepares variance explanations, estimates to complete (EACs), and monthly corporate and customer reports related to cost/schedule performance, staffing, and sales outlook
+ Prepares program baselines, maintains artifacts, analyzes monthly performance, and prepares monthly financial reports and customer deliverables
+ Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
+ Annual completion of a strategic 5 year plan for orders, revenue, operating margin, and cash
+ Ad hoc reporting/ cost control reporting including performance measurement and associated analysis, labor and material details by project
+ Be the point of contact for assigned programs/projects audit inquiries as they arise
+ Program cash management and working capital initiatives including cash flow projects for potential/future orders to determine if the pursuit is a good investment of proposal dollars now vs. cash over time
+ Prepares and evaluates ROMs and proposals
+ Works under limited supervision
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in related discipline with 8 plus years of industry related experience or a Master's degree and 6 plus years related experience. May consider 4 additional years of related experience (12 plus yrs. total) with a HS Diploma/GED.
+ Technical skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
+ Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
+ Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment.
+ Experience with Cost Control and Working Capital Management
+ Ability to work well with Operational team/program managers
+ Ability to work independently and proactively
+ U.S. Citizenship required.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Complete understanding of contract types and terminology
+ Experience with Cobra, Cognos, Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX)
+ Experience with SAP
+ Understanding of DoD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, Commercial contracts, and the FAR.
+ Experience with Earned Value a plus, but not required
+ Strong excel background
**Salary Range:** $104,900 - $157,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
