As a Sr Tax Analyst here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in assisting our tax department in managing tax compliance and reporting activities. Your expertise in tax thoughtfulness and research will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings while maximizing tax benefits for the company. You will report directly to our Tax Director. This role can be located in either Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the company's financial success by assisting in preparing tax returns, and conducting tax research. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and external tax advisors, to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Your attention to detail and thoughtful skills will be essential in identifying tax-saving opportunities and mitigating tax risks.

This role will also drive tax compliance and reporting through process improvement and automation. The role will also partner on tax examinations by developing defense strategies and maximizing tax saving opportunities. This role will contribute to shareholder value while fulfilling tax compliance and reporting obligations.

THE BUSINESS UNIT

The Corporate Strategic Business Group (CORP SBG) at Honeywell is a division focused on corporate-level functions and initiatives that facilitate the overall operations and strategy of the company. It is accountable for overseeing areas such as finance, legal, human resources, communications, and corporate governance, working closely with other business units and SBGs to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization. The CORP SBG plays a crucial role in the overall strategic direction and management of Honeywell's corporate functions and operations, assisting the company's business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Legislative Activities – Monitor industry positions meaningful to Honeywell’s business operations, model scenarios to assess future impacts.

+ Tax return compliance and preparation of corporate tax returns

+ Preparation of the working papers used by the tax service providers to prepare the tax filings

+ Identify, research and evaluate alternative tax positions to determine and implement a supportable, cost-effective filing position for the tax return filings.

+ Manage the timely and efficient administration of information assimilation and reporting through the review of processes and implementation of procedures that improve speed and efficiency of administration

+ Review of annual tax provision and tax provision to return reconciliation to be recorded and submitted for global consolidation. Collaborating efforts between outside tax return service providers and the internal finance organization

YOU MUST HAVE

+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance or a related field

WE VALUE

+ Bachelor's Degree in either Finance or Accounting

+ Broad technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations- including exposure to foreign affiliate legislation

+ Experience working with international tax components

+ Excellent eye for business with a sound understanding of the tax implications of a multi-national manufacturing company

+ Experience working with R&D as well as Project Management experience

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Proven ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex issues

+ Effective presentation skills
