HIGHLIGHTS:

Hourly Rate: $23.50-$26.00

Shift: M-F 7am-3:30pm

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

As the Shipping Specialist you will perform day-to-day operations of receiving and shipping product and materials supporting the demands of internal and external customers in a manufacturing plant. Daily operations include accurately selecting items from storage locations, picking and packing customer orders, using SAP transactions, scheduling transportation, and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer demands.

THE DETAILS:

+ Supports plant safety program, follows safety procedures and compliance requirements

+ Efficiently picks customer orders for shipment; ensuring correct part number for specified customer models and total quantity are accurate and complete

+ Uses computer and SAP to generate shipping documents and process goods movement

+ Schedules truck lines (carriers) for daily shipments; interacts with freight forwarders and CSRs to coordinate movement of goods

+ Manages inventory of shipping materials and supplies, reorders as needed

+ Investigates shipping inaccuracies to identify root cause for improvement opportunities

+ Operates forklift and other material handling equipment in performance of duties

+ Performs timely and accurate receiving of goods and materials; delivers to proper stocking locations

+ Collaborates with Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies with products received

+ Prepares, packages and palletizes as required, ensures product will arrive to customer location without damages

+ Performs audits and cycle counts as required; assists with inventory accuracy to support internal and external customers

+ Provides reports and charts for key performance indictors (KPI)

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

+ High School Diploma or GED, college education in related field preferred

+ 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred

+ Previous experience operating various types of material handling equipment ; must have or be able to obtain a company approved forklift license

+ Experience with scanners and familiarity with warehouse management systems preferred

+ Able to operate material handling, packaging, power tools, and manufacturing equipment safely

+ Effective written and verbal communication skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data management software (SAP preferred); must have basic keyboarding skills
