CBI is seeking an Admission Coordinator for our Mesa, Arizona location.
The Admissions Coordinator is the key position for monitoring throughput in crisis observation programs providing services. The Admission Coordinator is the owner of the petitioning process which includes processing, monitoring completeness and timeliness, assisting law enforcement in completing petitions, and serving as telephone liaison with internal and external providers and community agencies.

Responsibilities
• Coordinates the flow of patients to and from the assigned crisis program and is responsible for the administrative process for handling petitions.
• Answering incoming calls from emergency departments and police in a timely and professional manner.
• Receiving patients brought in by police in a timely and professional manner.
• Completing the referral in the medical record system.
• Reviewing petitions for completeness and administrative accuracy.
• Notarizing petitions.
• Tracking the petition through the Title 36 process, notifying applicants of patient status as required in T36 statutes and within HIPAA regulations.
• Coordinating with the BMHP to review the petition as outlined in policy. Elevating issues related to petition acceptance and review to the Operations Lead/Supervisor or designee.
• Tracking all essential time frames and communicating with the treatment team in a manner that allows the team to meet all deadlines.
• Maintains the bed board to ensure adequate and complete information is available to the treatment team.
Requirements
• Has an Associate Degree in a field related to Business or Health Care.
• 3 or more years of administrative work history.
• 1 or more one years of experience in healthcare setting. In lieu of Associate, 2 years of healthcare related experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
