    **Summary**

    Under general supervision, performs skilled work on the journeyman level in the construction and repair of all kinds of metal parts, tools and equipment, using lathes, milling machines, drill presses, power saws, grinders and related equipment. Also includes millwright, structural steel and general repair work requiring an all-around skill in setting up and operating metal working machines; layout, installation and alignment of heavy machinery and equipment; erection of structural steel and repair work of a general nature at locations throughout the Project. May sometimes require being transported by fixed wing, rotor, or other means of Project approved transportation. Assists in the "OJT of Apprentice Machinists".     **What You'll Do**

    + Sets up and operates metal working machines and accessory tools and equipment, using all hand tools of the trade including scrapers, chisels, fuels, squares, micrometers, calipers, plumb bobs and other measuring devices necessary in the repair, alignment, or shaping of metal parts and equipment to precise dimensions and tolerances prescribed.

    + Inspects, dismantles, diagnoses and performs skilled mechanical repair work in or out of the shop on hydraulic turbines, generators, pumps, graders, electric motors, and similar equipment.

    + Installs and aligns or changes the layout and set up of heavy machinery and equipment at Hydro power plants and other locations throughout the Project.

    + Lays out and may fabricate steel members for structural steel construction jobs as required, including the raising, placing, and uniting fabricated structural steel members, such as girders, plates, columns, etc., and performs other tasks associated with or required in shop structural steel assignments.

    + Lays out and plans work assigned, using blue prints, sketches, and/or written or oral instructions supplied.

    + Operates and/or uses hoists, cranes, trucks, dollies, rollers, rigs and similar equipment required in handling or moving material and equipment incidental to job assignment.

    + Keeps records of time and parts used in work assignments.

    + Is responsible for safety of others, and that the work performed is accomplished in a cost effective manner.

    + Performs related work as required and as workloads vary and are adjusted by supervisory personnel.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    + Employee must work safely and efficiently in the performance of their job duties. Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers and the public. Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, and have the ability to accurately and legibly complete applicable paper work. May be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime.

    **Experience**

    4 years of experience as a General Machinist Apprentice in Constriction/Maintenance-Power or equivalent.

    **Education**

    Completion of an appropriate Apprenticeship program or equivalent.

    **Testing and Certifications**

    The Daisy Brand Machine Operator, also referred to as the Packaging Technician, has the primary responsibility of product staging, machine set up, operating, cleaning, and sanitizing the filling machines. The operator will work in a team of 3-6 people who manage the filling and packaging of sour cream and cottage cheese.

    Principal Duties:

    + Set up, troubleshoot, operate, and change over automated filler, box forming, and packing equipment.

    + Manual loading of packaging materials i.e., cups, foil, shippers, etc.

    + Stage packaging supplies utilizing pallet jacks.

    + Perform and record production and quality controls.

    + Clean and sterilize packaging equipment manually and clean in place.

    + Preventative machine maintenance.

    + Follow Daisy Brand food safety and quality protocols.

    + Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping and safe work practices.

    Qualifications:

    + High School diploma or G.E.D. required.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude; maintenance-related background preferred.

    The Role

    Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking a Swiss CNC Machinist 3rd Shift to work out of its brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Mesa.

    The key responsibilities of this Swiss CNC Machinist 3rd Shift include, but are not limited to:

    + Is knowledgeable in Screw / Swiss / Sliding headstock CNC machining and secondary equipment

    + Assists Production Supervisors with all aspects of KPI requirements. (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost)

    + Active participant and advocate of Lean and 5S culture company wide

    + Follows "in-process" quality inspections and works with team members to ensure total quality

    + Aids in feedback to planning and engineering to optimize productivity

    + Cam style Escomatic, Tornos – Bechler experience is a plus as well as multispindle machining

    + Familiar with batch heat treating, and annealing special alloys as well as Nadcap Certification is preferred

    + Strict time management with self and other employees to support a productive work environment. This includes providing hourly production stats to shift supervisor and implementing quick corrective actions to help team members reach their goals
