What You’ll Be Doing:
We are looking for Troubleshooting Experts to assist the technical and operational demands of the autonomous vehicle fleets. This group is responsible for providing technical fleet support to Operation teams and feedback to Research and Development (R&D) groups at Cruise. People who thrive in this role have strong attention to detail, a keen eye for troubleshooting and curiosity for debugging engineering issues. Candidates should have the ability to adapt on the fly to evolving situations, sound judgment and comfortable working in a team setting.
Troubleshooting Experts work closely with Cruise Operations staff, Vehicle Technicians, and Engineers to ensure our fleet maximizes uptime and utilization. Team members in this role are expected to understand and respect confidentiality as they may work on projects that involve confidential Cruise information.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
+ Foster Cruise’s Safety First culture
+ Oversee and guide AV troubleshooting activity for technical issues.
+ Monitor field communication to assist in troubleshooting and report unresolvable issues to Fleet Operations Engineers and Vehicle Technicians
+ Compile proper diagnostic information and document issues encountered thoroughly and accurately.
+ Work with technician and engineering teams to refine troubleshooting and documentation processes.
+ Impart troubleshooting knowledge through training modules to AVTOs
+ Assist Fleet Engineering and Ops Managers in operating as the liaison between the Engineering/Technician teams and AV Operations.
+ Escalate to engineering issues that impact utilization of the AV fleets.
+ Maintain a helpful and calm composure in simple or difficult situations, while always providing first-rate customer support.
+ Recognize patterns and properly categorize support issues.
+ Support product testing for various engineering groups.
+ Respond to troubleshooting tickets quickly, following through to completion.
+ Write daily handoff reports for the next shift and management.
+ Perform ad hoc projects as needed, including those in support of delivery and other community support and/or pilots.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$21.10 - $40.90
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. TheElectrician (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/capaz/classspecs/735443?keywords=electrician&pagetype=classSpecifications) performs as an electrical multi-craft journeyman with local pumping plant operations responsibility in a heavy industrial hydroelectric environment consisting of up to 60,000 horsepower vertical, synchronous pumping and generating units and supporting auxiliary equipment such as: control valves (up to 132-inch), compressors, bridge cranes, governors, heat exchangers, strainers, trash rakes, radial gates, piping and hydraulic systems. Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair on a wide variety of high, medium and low voltage electrical systems requiring proficiency in: rotating machinery, power circuit breakers, power transformers, protective relays, electronic control systems as well as various predictive test techniques and procedures. Understands and possesses the skills necessary to locally operate, configure, isolate, troubleshoot and return to service large pumping and generating plants or other related facilities and systems. Performs switching operations and holds clearance orders to provide safe working boundaries or zones of equipment isolation from sources of hazardous energy.
This position is subject to call outs to a variety of operational emergencies on and off hours.

**Description**
A Line Electrician safely performs duties relating to the construction and maintenance of high and low voltage power transmission lines and related structures and system components.
+ Perform duties associated with the extension and cutback of power lines and various distribution service lines for the site, mine, mobile equipment and substations
+ Tasks may include but are not limited to test, frame, and set poles; string electric power lines, install cross arms and anchors, replaces switches, and circuit protection equipment, etc.

**What You Will Do**
+ Removal, repair and installation of electrical components, electrical systems, analysis and diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting and systems/process optimization; may mentor or train other electrical workers
