Job Description
Day to day responsibilities:
MS 365 security engineering and working with other IT teams, such as Infrastructure, Service Desk, etc., pushing out security for M365 modules.
Triage incidents
Write workflows
May help with risk assessments

Other Essential Functions:
Monitors alerts and responds to security events by investigating, correlating, triaging and escalating security events.
Assists with maintaining information security processes, products and systems to mitigate cyber and technology-related risks.
Assists with performing technology system security audits and risk assessments.
Keeps abreast of latest threats and takes appropriate threat mitigation action (i.e., anti-phishing campaigns, metrics, and communications); recommends and establishes industry best practice security standards and ensures compliance with Citywide policies and standards.
Reviews access to information systems and audits role-based access permissions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Methods of computer/server systems analysis, design, configuration, installation and troubleshooting, network concepts, protocols and topology management.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of standard security tooling such as EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewall and URL filtering, and security log correlators.
Information technology related terminology, creation of standard operating procedures; knowledge of computer control systems and office computer systems integration.
Install, configure and maintain appliances to support current cybersecurity configuration standards, performance notification, traffic monitoring and traffic sniffing; analyze, design and implement computer control logic and strategies; analyze and repair technology security systems software and technology security systems equipment malfunctions.
Application of security principles and practices in order to provide awareness training to city staff; remote support tools and concepts.
Familiarity with mainstream Windows and Linux operating systems, network appliance operating systems, utilities and commands; hardware configurations including storage, networking, infrastructure and general computing technologies; SQL databases and mobile device security issues.
Knowledge of firewall configurations, maintenance and troubleshooting; intrusion detection, intrusion prevention methodology; knowledge of backup/recovery procedures and experience with enterprise backup products.
Database practices and design including security principles and practices; safeguards for building secure systems; perform security risk and vulnerability testing of networks, operating systems and applications and associated databases.
Understand and abide by federal OSHA, state and county regulations and city policies regarding safe work practices.
Ability to gather and organize security tool analytics on a repeatable timeline. Research gathered statistics and present meaningful performance indicators for both technical and business-oriented teams.
Analytical research methods and techniques including the use of and application of statistical methods and practices; compile reports from a wide variety of sources and transmit data; read and create network diagrams and systems deployment schematics; operate a personal computer and related software or programs.
Follow oral and written instructions and communicate technical and non-technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing.
Present a positive public image and maintain effective working relationships with other City employees, outside agencies and the public; maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations.
May be required to provide on call support during non-business hours including nights and weekends, as needed.

Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASUis seeking aSecurity Officerto primarily work the overnight shift. The Security Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, associates, and hotel assets. This position requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for patrolling the property, responding to safety and security incidents, and maintaining detailed documentation. Your commitment to service excellence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure and welcoming environment for all.

Responsibilities

+ Safety Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the hotel property, including guest areas, service areas, and grounds, to ensure a safe and secure environment for all guests and associates.

+ Incident Response: Respond promptly to house calls, guest and associate requests, and emergency situations. Provide first aid assistance to sick or injured individuals and ensure timely medical intervention if necessary.

+ Documentation & Reporting: Accurately complete all required documentation, including incident reports, witness statements, and daily activity logs. Follow up appropriately with involved parties.

+ Surveillance & Monitoring: Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. Control access to the property by issuing and collecting visitor badges and conducting regular bag checks for associates.

+ Property Security: Assist the Director of Loss Prevention in maintaining and checking alarm systems, securing building doors, service areas, and delivery areas, and ensuring the proper function of safety and fire alarm systems.

+ Emergency Support: Act as a point of contact during emergencies, guiding guests and associates to safety and coordinating with hotel management. Familiarize yourself with all hotel safety procedures and protocols.

As a Facility Security Officer in Intel Federal, you will:

+ Conducts internal security assessments and security reviews and conducts security risk analysis of business processes and technology solutions to evaluate whether they comply with internal security policies and standards, regulatory and industry requirements and security best practices.

+ Interprets security and technical requirements.

+ Design and implements information assurance and supports security solutions, delivering requirements such as, but not limited to business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, and regulatory compliance.

+ Analyze documented processes, procedures and standards to validate maintenance of secure configurations.

+ Highlight shortcomings in the operations of platform security and compliance processes, and ensures they are appropriately addressed.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

You must possess the below minimum requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States government customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions.

Active US Government Top Secret/SCI (TS-SCI).

High School diploma and 6+ years of equivalent security experience OR

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2+ years of equivalent security experience.

+ 1+ years of security office administration and facility security experience.

+ 2+ years of experience using government security regulations, manuals, and processes, to include the NISPOM, Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD), and OPSEC principles.

+ 2+ years of experience in working with the Department of Defense (DoD) policies and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).

**Additional Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience as an FSO or AFSO.

+ Proficient with DISS, NISS, NBIS and SIMS.FSO Program Management certification or any other relevant industry certifications.

+ Experience in managing physical security measures, such as access control systems, security alarms, and surveillance equipment.

+ Experience with cybersecurity measures and IT security best practices.
