**The Role**

Experience/Education/Training:

+ 4+ years of professional software development experience

As a .NET Software Developer Intern, you will be a valued member of a collaborative team of talented software engineers, developers, managers, and clients in a fast paced iterative and agile development environment. The team builds custom web-based tools to improve management of the Department of Defense’s environmental and energy research and development (R&D) programs. The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for (ODASD) Environment & Energy Resilience (E&ER) establishes policy and governance for programs and activities that enable resilience and cyber-secure energy for weapon systems and installations. This includes budgetary, policy, and management oversight of programs related to climate change, compliance with environmental laws, prevention of pollution, management of natural and cultural resources, and cleanup of contaminated sites, as well as energy resilience, risk, and performance.

During the internship you will:

+ Engage in the team's Agile development processes, including planning and standups.

+ Develop a new feature by working closely with the Product Owner and/or requirements analysts to understand the business value of requirements and collaborating with the team to translate these needs into working software

+ Improve software quality through testing and code reviews

+ Participate in release activities

+ Actively participate in team idea-sharing, collaboration, and problem-solving

**Required Qualifications**

+ A GPA of 3.3 or higher
