The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements.
i. Interviews and assesses prospective program participants, and gathers data using appropriate screening and assessment instruments. Establishes rapport with participants and determines individual and group needs based on results of screening and assessment instruments and other collateral sources.
ii. Facilitates individual and group treatment interventions, in accordance with CoreCivic partner agencies, and prevailing state regulations, statutes, policies and procedures. Uses standardized offender assessment information in developing treatment plans or specific programs.
iii. Facilitates participant engagement in the treatment process, promoting positive attitudes, skills, coping mechanisms to encourage on-going recovery. Plans participant incentives and uses appropriate therapeutic tools to manage behavioral issues or concerns.
iv. Maintains the confidentiality of clinical files for each participant to include, but not limited to, intake documents, assessment(s), and interview(s), treatment plan, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, discharge summary, and referrals, according to written protocols and in compliance with prevailing laws and regulation(s).
v. Documents and tracks treatment plans, monitors inmate progress and reviews status of inmates/residents to verify that treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
**Qualifications:**
+ Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or a closely related field is required.
+ One (1) year of experience in the mental health or substance use counseling field is required.
+ Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
+ Where applicable, must possess appropriate licensure/certification.
+ A valid driver's license is required.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,095.60 - $116,760.80
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides clinical assessment and psychotherapy services for defined patient population. Services are provided to patients, families and/or groups and may be in both inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. Position provides treatment in one or more of the following areas: substance abuse, emotional and behavioral issues, eating disorders and other mental disorders as outlined in the "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders" (DSM).
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Provides assessment and direct psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups. Coordinates all aspects of patient care from admission to discharge, interacting with the physician and other members of the clinical treatment team to provide quality patient care. Must be independently licensed in Arizona to bill out appropriate CPT codes for independently license clinicians.
2. Provides education and orientation for patients, families and others to assigned treatment program to aid in therapeutic process. Collaborates with the patient in the development of a written treatment plan. Includes patient and family involvement in assessment, treatment, education and discharge planning.
3. Monitors patients on an ongoing basis to continually assess needs and facilitate treatment and interventions. Documents clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment plan, diagnostic summaries, and progress charting in a timely manner to assure comprehensive and quality patient care.
4. Actively participates as member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintains effective working relationships with physicians and peers.
5. May provide clinical updates to representatives of managed care to assure coordination and reimbursement of treatments services. May conduct cognitive testing and document results.
6. Coordinates with community-based providers to assure optimal levels of care post discharge and to maximize treatment outcomes.
7. Provides critical assessments and appropriate treatment plan; Manages and provides direct care of patients in behavioral health treatment program (may be specialty area or across disciplines). Monitors, reassesses and documents treatment programs. Interacts with patients, families, groups, all levels of clinical staff in assigned program, physicians. External contacts include managed care providers, community resources, and referral agencies.
8. May provide indirect supervision to associate level therapists to support the process of becoming independently licensed. This may include weekly supervision and appropriate documentation.
9. May be required to review and sign off on clinical documentation, such as treatment plans and assessments from non-licensed staff within 72 business hours of completion.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Master's degree in counseling, behavioral health, or a related human services field, or educational requirement as mandated by state board in order to maintain licensure in field of specialty.
Behavioral Health Licensure is required in field of specialty as mandated by state board or regulatory agency. Depending on area of focus, may require a License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) as mandated by state board.
Requires a proficiency level typically achieved with 2 years experience in a behavioral health setting. Requires ability to work with a diverse population along with interpersonal skills and knowledge required in treating patients in area of assigned specialty.
Employees working at BUMG, BUMCT, or BUMCS in a Behavioral Health clinical setting that serves children must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. Summary :
Vighter is seeking to hire multiple Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to provide social services, counseling, mental health and/or behavioral health support to patients within the Customs and Border Protection – Immigration and Customs Enforcement mission, with dozens of locations across the United States’ Southern borders, to include California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Florida. The role will involve offering direct counseling services, crisis intervention, and wellness support to CBP personnel who face unique challenges in their duties protecting the nation's borders. The LPC will work closely with CBP leadership to develop and implement programs that promote mental health and emotional well-being.
Principle Accountabilities:
+ Counseling Services: Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to address stress, trauma, anxiety, and other mental health concerns faced by CBP personnel.
+ Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly to critical incidents, offering immediate support and intervention to employees impacted by traumatic events.
+ Employee Assistance Programs (EAP): Participate in and enhance existing EAP initiatives, tailoring services to the specific needs of CBP personnel.
+ Training and Workshops: Develop and deliver educational programs on topics such as stress management, resilience, conflict resolution, and coping strategies.
+ Assessment and Referrals: Conduct mental health assessments and, if necessary, refer individuals to specialized care or community resources.
+ Policy Collaboration: Work with CBP leadership to ensure mental health policies and procedures align with the needs of employees and comply with applicable regulations.
+ Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and interventions, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
