    In operation since 2007, Safford operations is a zero-discharge facility and one of the most sustainable mines in the United States. The operation’s commitment to utilizing advanced technologies and sustainable practices strongly emphasizes safety and environmental stewardship.     **Description**

    Under minimal supervision, provides technical knowledge and guidance for designated interface groups. Provides installation, diagnostics, repair and reliability of industrial control systems and equipment.

    + Interface between staff engineers, external technical representatives, operations, and maintenance personnel. Experience with control system maintenance and associated project development/implementation.

    + Provides installation, diagnostics, repair and reliability of industrial control equipment (i.e. instrumentation, industrial communications, process control systems, and third party equipment).

    + Actively participates in safety and environmental programs and other programs determined by management.

    **Qualifications**

    **Minimum Requirements:**

    + Completion of an approved electrical/instrumentation certification program and one (1) year of experience in process automation repair and maintenance in an industrial setting **OR**

    + Five (5) years combination electrical/instrumentation or process automation repair and maintenance in an industrial setting with minimum (1) year of experience in process automation repair and maintenance in an industrial setting

    + Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge, as well as safety.

    + Ability to pass 75% of the Process Automation assessment

    + Experience in SCADA, HMI/PLC or DCS based control systems

    + Strong technical knowledge in communication, interfaces and protocols

    + Ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair

    + Valid State Driver’s License
